Celebrating Diverse Abilities
EPISODE 1
GROWING TOGETHER
“I learn to talk, wash dishes, cashiering”
Hosted by Lily, a Deaf facilitator, this episode follows an inclusive workplace where growth unfolds through patience, trust, and shared effort. Boon Swee, a non-verbal employee, gradually builds confidence and skills — from simple tasks to cooking his own meals — while his mother Florence’s journey evolves from caregiver to colleague.
Alongside Annabelle’s 15-year path from dishwashing to cashiering, the story reflects how inclusive environments enable steady growth, dignity, and belonging. Insights from organisation consultant Douglas and social worker Yi Feng underscore the importance of designing workplaces around people’s strengths — creating spaces where everyone can learn, contribute, and grow together.

EPISODE 2
HIDDEN COLOURS
“I want to be an entertainer, cafe owner”
Hosted by Wanyi, a dancer with intellectual disabilities who explores pathways beyond performance, this episode follows poet, Joan, as she collaborates with baker, Aiswarya, to co-create a baked piece inspired by her poetry.
Through this creative exchange, the story reveals how mentorship, trust, and collaboration open new pathways for expression and growth — inviting viewers to see potential beyond labels through possibility and belief.
EPISODE 3
LEAP OF FAITH
“I feel proud of myself”
Hosted by Sheldon, a person with acquired disabilities, this episode brings together voices from inclusive workplaces, including Gerwen, an individual on the autism spectrum, in conversation with Madeline, founder of Mad Roaster, alongside Weijie and Marcus from Foreword Coffee and Post Boy Coffee.
Through these perspectives, the episode explores inclusive hiring from multiple angles — leadership journeys, patience in growth, and the creation of opportunities. Alongside them, Gerwen shares his lived experience of work, friendship, and aspiration, showing how inclusion is built through courage, trust, and consistent effort.

Believe an inclusive society is a shared responsibility among all Singaporeans
I loved how the roundtable discussion was from all angles
- micro, meso and macro!
What a thoughtful composition.
@Anisha Joseph
I must say you have done such justice to this journey -
to bring them from the shadows to the forefront, to let them
have their unique moments and humanise them.
Thank you so much!
@Kavitha (Co-Founder, Maya Dance Theatre, DADC)
Hosting the episode for the first time was both
exciting and meaningful for me. It gave me the
opportunity to step out of my comfort zone, share
my perspective as a Deaf individual, and contribute to
conversations about inclusion and understanding in
a more visible way.
@Lily Goh (Deaf Host)

How beautiful and enlightening.
I am always amazed with the abilities others can achieve which I am limited in that talent.
I see others and myself talented [too], but in different areas.
Great video to see the talent of others.

We truly appreciate the meaningful work IAMinVISIBLE is doing to highlight lived experiences and promote inclusion for persons with Down syndrome.

The successful production of these stories was not only to the target community, us too.
We were privileged to witness and deepen our understanding of true teamwork (mom and BSwee), the beauty of love and
friendship from Joan’s art, and the spirit of perseverance from Gerwen.
We also learnt what grounded, consistent heart-led movements really mean, and were privileged to capture some
PWD champions’ journeys in this project. Their care and commitment to creating an inclusive society inspired us.
Enriching & humbling experience. It's a
genuinely touching & sincere approach to making
inclusivity not a separate space but a space that is for all & that
includes being seen. It helps the public unlearn paradigms &
learning about viewing inclusion with the revised optics.
@Sheldon Humphries (PWD Host)
It encourages people to see persons with disabilities as individuals
with talents, dreams, and contributions, rather than just focusing
on their disabilities. I believe initiatives like this are important in
helping to build a more inclusive and understanding community.

What began as a casual conversation with Sheldon about creating space for raw, authentic dialogue unexpectedly grew into something far more personal and impactful than I had imagined.

The power of storytelling
- can change the world
As the project progress, I found myself overwhelmed with responsibilities, and invited Judee to come onboard, where she played an instrumental role in shaping the stories—helping to bring them to life while staying true to the original vision, authenticity, and intent.
it really takes a village to come together

and when u were stuck in the story development phase (which was where i entered - note this for our website spiel please), i told u u are ignoring all of them while u just want to singularly charge ahead to the end, using them as your track. literally you are running on top of them to reach where YOU singularly want to go.
it was never for them. it was for u.
this is the biggest issue for u.
